Portuguese Content - When you think of shopping in Rio, the Saara streets are the first that comes to mind. But the Society of Friends and Adjacencies of Rua da Alfândega (SAARA) is not only a trade place at all. Located in a historical part of downtown in Rio, these 11 streets have the power to bring along with their merchants the history of immigration and trade itself in Brazil.

Portuguese content - Me and my colleague Victor Sena, went out to the country side of Rio to explore how the street vendors saw an opportunity to increase their income selling jerseys and accessories during the 2014 World Cup.
